駅にワイヤーロックを置いておくというのは、ほかの自転車ツーキニストも使っている技で、何本かがぶら下がっているから面白い。私のほかにも、２台のドロップハンドルの自転車が同じように止めている（スタンドがないから置ける場所は限られているのだ）。
カゴが付いていないので、荷物は背中に背負うしかない。これまで使っていたデイパックはバイクでは問題は無かったが、自転車では背中が蒸れる。ロードバイクでは、前傾姿勢が強く背中とパックの間に遊びができないから唯でさえ体温が上がって汗をかいているのに逃がすことができないせいだ。
B一度借りてみたら背中の熱がかなり軽減された。
そこで、ネットで同様のパックを探してみたら、deuterというメーカーのものが目に付いた。このメーカーには、バイク用モデルというのもあったが、ネットが広いものの効果は確認済みなので、「ドイター フューチュラ22SL」にするつもりだったが、22Lもの容量は不要であることに気づいて保留、10リットル台のバックパックを物色。

ロード自転車にはサスペンションはない。唯一の弾性体はタイヤだが、8kg/cm^2というような高気圧のタイヤにはクッションとしての役割は期待できない。シートも薄くて乗り心地は後回しだ。このため、ロード自転車乗りはパッド付きのズボンというのかスパッツ状のズボンをはく。しかし、一般人がゆるゆると走るのにあのパンツはちょっと気後れする。
そこで、購入したのは短パンのようなパッド付きハーフパンツ。股間に大きなパッドが入っている。これでかなり衝撃から股間を守ることができる（に違いない）。
バイクに乗るときは夏でもグローブをするのが習慣だ。もしもの転倒のときにダメージが全然違ってくるし、普段でも振動で手がかゆくなることを防いでくれる。
ｋz収材を内蔵したパッドが入っている。
サンデーライダーで、遅くても手袋はしたほうがいい。
安全を語るときに頭部の保護は何より重要だ。こんなちゃちなヘルメットでどれだけ保護できるかは未知数だが、ないよりははるかにマシだろう。現在物色中。
